For many parents, the search for nursery furniture—particularly a functional yet stylish glider—can be an exhausting process. The market has long been dominated by pieces that are strictly utilitarian, forcing parents to choose between ergonomic support for late-night feedings and cohesive interior design for their living spaces. Berkus’s new line aims to bridge that gap by applying high-end residential design standards to nursery staples.
"Most people look at a glider and immediately think ‘nursery,’ and I really wanted to challenge that," Berkus explains of the design philosophy behind the collaboration. "We approached the silhouette, the fabrics, the proportions, and all of those little details exactly as I would any other chair in the home. It needed to earn its place."

The Refined Recliners
At the heart of the collection are two sophisticated power recliner styles: the Sigi Pro Power Recliner and Swivel Glider, and the Westham Electronic Recliner and Glider. Rather than masquerading as conventional armchairs, these pieces embrace their functional capabilities while utilizing elevated upholstery options designed by Berkus to help them blend effortlessly into residential interiors.

The Sigi model is available in an olive or toffee stripe, as well as a clean cream linen, offering a tailored aesthetic that looks at home in a sophisticated living room or foyer. Meanwhile, the Westham comes in a gray or white tweed-like textile that provides rich texture and visual warmth. Recognizing the realities of parenting, Berkus ensured that both chairs are practical for everyday use, featuring water-repellent and stain-resistant Performance Slub Weave fabrics.
"I’m under no illusion that anything is going to remain pristine," the designer notes, acknowledging the inevitable spills and wear associated with raising young children.

To demonstrate the furniture’s adaptability, Berkus styled the recliners in Babyletto’s campaign photography within a foyer rather than a traditional nursery setting. The goal is to encourage buyers to envision where the furniture might live five or ten years down the line, honoring the sentimental attachment parents often develop toward the chair that supported them through sleepless nights.
The Versatile Case Pieces

The design versatility extends well beyond seating. The collection includes a range of storage and case pieces—such as a six-drawer wide dresser, a bookcase featuring built-in cable management, an oak armoire with adjustable shelves, and a matching nightstand—that are equally suited for adult bedrooms, home offices, or shared family spaces.
The storage essentials are anchored by whimsical ball feet and are offered in a choice of a dark wood veneer or a rich green finish. Staying true to his reputation for organization, Berkus also incorporated patterned fabric accessory bins into the collection, designed specifically for stashing toys, diapers, blankets, and books while maintaining a tidy, curated appearance.

The Classic Crib That Converts
The collection’s centerpiece for the nursery is the Astre All-Stages 8-in-1 Crib, which transitions through various configurations from a bassinet to a toddler bed. Leaning slightly into an Art Deco aesthetic, the crib features a rounded oak veneer silhouette and elegant trim detailing around the end panels. It is designed to serve as a solid, sophisticated foundation for any newly designed infant’s room.

However, Berkus offers a reassuring perspective for parents overwhelmed by the pressure of perfecting a nursery before a baby arrives. Drawing on his own experiences as a parent, he encourages individuals to take a measured approach to decorating the space.
"I think the best nurseries change almost immediately once you start actually living in them," Berkus says. "You’ll discover what you reach for 20 times a day. And then the books and toys and photographs and little objects start arriving—the things that actually tell the story of your child."
